Advertising agencies love awards competitions. Maybe because
it's a validation of our creativity. Or perhaps vindication
for an idea or technique. Whatever the reason, we like to
know that our peers think our work is attractive, interesting,
unique and creative. Yet the road to creative success is paved
with many ads. And while every effort may not win an award,
every effort certainly can be effective. So, although we're
proud of our award-winning work, we're also proud of all the
other ads, commercials, brochures, sell sheets, product catalogs,
videos, newsletters, and publicity that got the job done successfully.
Numero Uno
Since the Binghamton
Ad Club initiated its Genesis Awards, we've won more than
our share. Some of our first place finishes have come in the
categories of Sales Promotion, Newspaper Campaign, Consumer
Magazine, TV Campaign, Radio Campaign, Direct Mail, Public
Relations, Product Brochure and Potpourri.
Top ten finishes
We particularly enjoy recognition thats based on results.
Over the past several years, the Agency has received nearly
two dozen Advertising Achievement and Top Ten Readership Awards
from various business-to-business publications. These awards
are presented for ads that have attained top recall scores
in the publishers' surveys of their readers.
Best of the Rest
In addition, we've received recognition in some special areas,
including two national Telly Awards for TV Production, a Certificate
of Merit for the Creative Use of Recycled Paper, a Best Bets
Award from McDonald's Corporation for Local Store Marketing/Public
Relations, an Award of Excellence for Annual Report Design,
and many others.
