In just a short period of time, Jamie has become Riger Advertising’s very own “utility player,” helping out where needed with copywriting, media contacts, production for broadcast and interactive media, clerical work, and pretty much anything else that lands on her desk. And doing it all with a great deal of dedication, skill and determination!
Her career at Riger started as a student intern during the summer semester, 2005. Like many students who come to the agency as interns, her goal was to build up a little practical experience and find out if advertising was good career choice. Well, it didn’t take long for her to prove she had what it takes to succeed in the field. From the start, she demonstrated outstanding productivity, creativity, and a willingness to tackle any project.
Jamie did such a great job, the agency paid her the ultimate compliment by hiring her as a part-time employee throughout her final year at Binghamton University, and guaranteeing her a full-time position after graduation in 2006. Her education also included studying abroad in London, where she enjoyed classes in theater, creative writing, and literature. She completed her B.A. degree in English and Literature Studies in just three years.
Already, Jamie has had a hand in preparing print campaigns, radio and television spots, public relations events, branding and logo projects, as well as coordinating research, creative brainstorming, and new business development.
Outside of work, she is very involved with the Conklin Presbyterian Church, teaching Sunday school, singing, and participating in youth outreach programs and charity events. Jamie also tries to work in some recreational volleyball with the Boys and Girls Club and YMCA, as well as other summer leagues and annual tournaments. She enjoys performing in and attending an assortment of theater and musical shows, and spending as much time as possible with her parents and three sisters.
