A good account person needs to have the ability to effectively move from one product category to another. That means being a quick study and having broad knowledge of marketing strategy and advertising procedures, along with strong organizational and team skills. With her years of experience as media buyer and media director at Riger Advertising, Laurie brings these skills to her role as account executive.
She joined the agency in 1990 after working for several years in the financial industry, with Chase Manhattan Bank and Clover Capital Management. Over the years, she has picked up expertise in business-to-business, direct mail, out-of-home and web media. Today, Laurie’s responsibilities include new business development and managing accounts in the financial and healthcare industries.
In Fall 2002, the Central New York Business Journal acknowledged her professional accomplishments and community involvement as one of the area’s up-and-coming young professionals by selecting her to their annual Southern Tier “20 Under 40 professionals to watch” listing.
Laurie serves on the board of the Northeast Pennsylvania Advertising Club and is active in the Pocono Chamber’s Women in Business Group. Her time away from the office is spent attending sporting events, tending her flower gardens and spending time with her many animals.
