Mark has been in the communications business since 1978. A graduate of Kent State University, he served as a public relations specialist for the Community Development Department, City of Binghamton. He joined Riger in 1979 as a copywriter and field account executive and has accumulated broad experience in market research, creative strategy and account management. In addition to consumer and business-to-business advertising, he also has been deeply involved with a variety of financial, healthcare and professional services clients.

Mark became a shareholder in the Riger Agency in 1991 and was named Vice President, Creative Services. For over ten years he served as Adjunct Instructor in advertising at Binghamton University. Additionally, he is Past President of the Public Relations Society of the Southern Tier and has served on the boards of the American Cancer Society and Center for Adolescent Services. He currently serves on the executive board of the Baden-Powell Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Active in Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce affairs, Mark serves on the Project Pride committee. He is a graduate of the Broome Leadership Institute, Class of ’93. When not attending the kids’ little league games, Mark plays a fine game of golf, taking the “A” slot in many captain-and-crew outings.
