Steve joined the Riger Agency as a copywriter in 1987. Since then, he has served as an account executive and account manager working with a wide variety of business-to-business, consumer and financial services clients.

Along the way, he’s developed a keen understanding of the principles of Total Quality Management. The relentless pursuit of customer satisfaction is Steve’s personal mission, making him a perfect Riger team leader.

In 1996, Steve became a shareholder in the Agency, and was named Vice President, Client Services.

Steve is a graduate of Binghamton University’s School of Management—a student of business with a concentration in marketing that included an internship with Riger. After a year on the street selling AM radio advertising (“a real-world workshop in the psychology of sales and marketing”), Steve found his way back to Riger.

Steve sits on the Board of Directors of the Broome County Council of Churches (BC3). He is also a member of the Communications Association of the Southern Tier (CAST). Some of his other community involvement activities include coaching Johnson City youth sports and volunteering for United Way campaigns, the Broome Library Foundation, Binghamton University Community Campaigns (Business and Industry Division Leader), the Empire State Games, and the Greater Binghamton Chamber (Project Pride). Steve is a graduate of the Broome Leadership Institute, Class of ‘97.

When he’s not immersed in a client’s new marketing campaign, you might find him, kayaking, knee-deep in a trout stream, or leading a Johnson family outing to a Binghamton Mets game!
